Supporting EU External Action
The specific objective of this project is to support the EU’s foreign policy across political, economic and security areas. Actions shall enable the EU to act where there is an urgent or imperative foreign policy interest requiring a rapid reaction and which cannot or with difficulty be addressed by other means, i.e. by the geographic or thematic programmes under the NDICI-GE Regulation. Expertise will be mobilized to support and advise EU services by providing technical inputs and mainstreaming of crosscutting issues (such as climate change, environment, security, youth, gender, synergies with Global Gateway and the EU’s rights-based approach). The technical assistance will support the following type of activities: (a) Analytical and research studies (e.g. feasibility studies, institutional/stakeholder analysis, political and economic analysis, economic analysis, data collection and analysis); (2) Targeted communication actions; (3) Analysis of legislation, regulations and law enforcement, legislative gap analysis; (4) Support in the organization of events; (5) Policy-related analysis and design. Expertise may also be mobilised to identify and design new actions or ad hoc interventions linked to the follow up of summit conclusions and high-level visits; and (6) Evaluations of projects and programmes.
