Ghana: Promoting Fruit and Vegetable Associations

Though an organizational strengthening of the partner associations FAGE and VEPEAG as service providers and interest representatives for their members the project aims at achieving income effects on the level of the individual farms in the fruit and vegetable, root and tuber (FVRT) sector. At the end of the project the partner associations should be able to sustainably offer training and export services (e.g. trainings in Global GAP) to their member farms and the farm's contracted outgrowers and to assure the quality of the value chain in the FVRT sector. Thus, the associations will contribute to higher investments and better jobs in the sector.
