Amid the challenges posed by Russia's large-scale war against Ukraine, the partnership between GEW and TUESWU launches to bolster TUESWU’s strategic and organisational capacity and sustainably improve working conditions in Ukraine's education sector.

The first phase of the project, running from December 2024 to the end of 2026, includes several core measures. These include training multipliers who will implement new services in various regions of Ukraine. The goal is to enable TUESWU to act as a strong representative body and rebuild social dialogue.

The project will provide training and international collaboration to equip participants with skills in labour law, social dialogue, and union organisation. Despite the uncertainties of war, the partners remain committed to fostering long-term stability and better working conditions in Ukraine's education sector.
