Latin America: 66 projects implemented

Sustainable growth and job creation in Latin America are the main objectives of AL-INVEST Verde. The programme, which is funded by the European Commission, is in its fourth year of implementation. In two calls from 2022 and 2023, 66 projects led by 171 Latin American and European organisations were selected to apply sustainable practices and create green jobs in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Latin America. Currently, more than 37,000 SMEs are participating in the programme, more than 50,000 people have benefited from the different events and more than 5,000 green jobs have already been created. Another milestone is that 1,700 members of business organisations have already been trained in the creation of green and digital services, more than twice as many as originally planned. The projects from the first call for proposals are nearing completion and have so far exceeded the planned targets and impact. Until the end of the programme in November 2026, our team will focus on the active monitoring, supervision, support and monitoring of the individual projects.
